NLS partner ROWE will this year again be starting with two race cars from BMW M Motorsport. With a super-strong driver line-up, the racing team from St. Ingbert is not only striving for top performance, but also quite clearly for victories!
A newcomer and a familiar face will join the team on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife this season. After a five-year absence, Maxime Martin is returning to ROWE RACING. The Belgian had triumphed alongside Philipp Eng at Spa in 2016. His compatriot Dries Vanthoor will contest his first season as a BMW M works driver after switching from Audi. The 24-year-old is the younger brother of Laurens Vanthoor, who triumphed at Spa with ROWE RACING in 2020, and won the “24h Eifel Marathon” at the Nürburgring last year for the second time since 2019. This season, the Belgians will share the cockpits of the two BMW M4 GT3s during the first three NLS races and the Nürburgring 24h with Marco Wittmann, the current DTM champion Sheldon van der Linde from South Africa, Augusto Farfus, Connor de Phillippi from the USA, Nick Yelloly and Philipp Eng.
“In the second season of the BMW M4 GT3, we have the clear goal of fighting for the big wins and titles – and ROWE RACING plays an important role in this,” says Andreas Roos, Head of BMW M Motorsport: “With its experience, especially at the 24-Hour classic races, the team is always a candidate for victory. Our joint successes at Spa-Francorchamps in 2016 and at the Nürburgring in 2020 demonstrated that. I’m looking forward to the 2023 season that we will share together and where we will hopefully have plenty of reason to celebrate.”
